Individual therapy
A room of your own, on a day you can keep
For adults carrying work, family, faith or a change, and who want someone to think it through with.
You work one conversation at a time with a therapist who knows the shape of a Jewish week and does not ask you to explain it.

What to expect
What it is like, in six points
What sessions are like
They run 50 minutes, in person in Teaneck or by video. You talk and Marc listens, asks and suggests, without hurry.
The method
Marc explains how he works and why, and names the training behind any method he uses. If a method does not suit you, it changes.
What it is not
It is not an assessment for a court or an application, not religious guidance, not an emergency service and not a place for prescriptions.
Length and frequency
Marc sets the pace with you. We do not promise a number of sessions.
The risks
Talking about hard things can be uncomfortable at first. Marc explains the possible risks and benefits before you begin.
How it is paid
You pay at the end of each session, with a good faith estimate in writing before you start if you pay without insurance. The fees page explains it.
Questions
Three questions about this service
What happens in the first session?
It lasts 60 minutes. Marc explains how he works, the limits of confidentiality and the possible risks and benefits of therapy, and listens. At the end, you both decide whether to continue.
How often, and for how long?
Marc sets the pace with you. We do not promise a number of sessions: it depends on what you want to work on and how you feel.
What is confidential, and what are the limits?
What you share stays in the session. The law sets limits: if someone is at serious risk of harming themselves or another person, or if abuse of a child or an older adult is suspected, Marc may have to tell others. He explains this in writing before you start.
